Chrysler to close 19 dealerships in Minnesota

In filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court on Thursday, Chrysler wants to drop 789 dealers from its network. The automaker is seeking a June 3 court hearing to approve the plan and some dealers say they will oppose it.
The dealerships include 19 in Minnesota (boldface are those in our immediate area):

• Iron Trail Motors in Virginia
• Marchant Motors in Spring Valley
• Mason Motors in Excelsior
• Nereson Motors in Detroit Lakes
• North Star Garage in Milaca
• Paul Busch Auto Center in Wabasha
• Pen Motors in Duluth
• Salem Motors in Crookston
• Salmon Motors in Tracy
• Scholtes Motors in Worthington
• Scott-Preusse in Redwood Falls
• SonJu Two Harbors in Two Harbors
• Stillwater Motors in Stillwater
• Walden Fleet in Pine City
