Radio Mankato will be asking residents and businesses to donate money to pay the $15,000 or so for the cost of having fireworks for the Fourth of July. The Free Press will assist in seeking these donations. But the central question is: Are you willing to donate money to have fireworks for the Fourth of July?
The results of the unscientific poll that ended Monday night: There were 32 responses:
50% -- Yes, the community needs it!
12% -- No, fireworks are worthless
37% -- No, I can't afford it.
